Host / Advertising

Your ad sales, on your own site.

You find your sponsors, you invoice them, you keep everything. Zekast slips the spots into the start and the end of your episodes, and counts the listens.

What you sell

A campaign is an audio spot, a set of dates, and the podcasts it plays on. The spot is added like an episode’s audio: from your media library, from your own hosting, or by its address.

At the start, at the end, or both

Each slot takes one spot or several in a row, running as long as they last or fitted to a fixed length you sell by the second.

The episodes you want

The whole show, the episodes published from a date, or the episodes you tick one by one: a sponsor may buy a single episode. A checkbox keeps an episode out.

Several campaigns at once

Two sponsors share the listens according to the share you give each of them. A cap stops a campaign sold by volume, and your own promotion takes over whenever no sponsor is running.

The right spot on the right show

An ad in the wrong place costs more than it earns. Zekast turns down the wrong pairings for you, on every listen, and that check cannot be bypassed.

Your show declares itself

Category, language, explicit content, and the audience it is for: children, everyone, adults. Until that is filled in, advertising stays off.

So does the spot

Sector, brand, language and minimum audience. A children’s show will never receive an adult spot, nor a sensitive sector: alcohol, gambling, dating, politics, religion, food high in fat, sugar or salt.

And you keep the final say

Each show can refuse whole sectors and named brands. A rival of your sponsor will not slip in through the back door.

Nothing drifts

This is what is missing everywhere else. A spot at the start shifts the whole episode, and the chapters land in the wrong place. Zekast recalculates the timings for the version each listener receives.

In the apps

Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Pocket Casts: chapters and transcript arrive recalculated, and the spot shows up as a “Sponsor” chapter the listener can skip.

On your site

The player follows the same rule: a click on a chapter lands on the right words, and the transcript highlights the sentence being spoken.

Your subscribers hear none of it

A listener who pays for a subscription gets the episode with no advertising, even on a free episode. And that listener hears the same spot again, not a different campaign each time.
